6 Tenses


PAST PERFECT TENSE
S + had + Verb 3/Past participle + O
Example :
1.       Sinta had left home to school at 6 a.m.
2.       I had eaten lunch in the cafetaria.
3.       When he came last night, the food had run out.
4.       They had not finished the assignment yet.
5.       My brother had seen a crab on the beach.

PAST PERFECT CONTINOUS TENSE
S + had been + Verb-ing + O
Example :
1.       Rina had been waiting for me since at 11 o’clock.
2.       My mother had not been cooking anything for dinner.
3.       When I slept, my sister had been coming from school.
4.       We had been studying at school for about 8 hours.
5.       She had been playing badminton for an hour.

SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE
S + will/shall + Verb 1 + O
Example :
1.       I shall meet you as soon as possible.
2.       The teacher will teach us about History next week.
3.       Andre will not believe in you because you are lying.
4.       My father will buy me a new bicycle if I past the exam.
5.       He will call you back after he finish his job.

FUTURE CONTINOUS TENSE
S + will/shall + Verb-ing + O
Example :
1.       She will be working at this office tomorrow.
2.       The new student will be coming in this school next month.
3.       I will not writing a letter for the next two days.
4.       Nia will be playing a piano at her mother’s birthday.
5.       George will not be going to his grandmother’s house.

FUTURE PERFECT TENSE
S + will/shall + have + Verb 3 + O
Example :
1.       The game will not have finished if the score still same.
2.       We will have played a basketball when she came.
3.       The book will have returned to the library.
4.       You will have planned for the summer break with your family.
5.       I will have gone to my hometown tomorrow.

FUTURE PERCEFT CONTINOUS TENSE
S + will/shall + have been + Verb-ing + O
Example :
1.       By the end of this year, I will have been leaving in another town.
2.       She will have been studying in Oxford University by the end of this month.
3.       By the end of this month,  my mother will not have been working at the bank.
4.       By the end of this year, we will have been going to have a New Year’s holiday.
5.       They will have been finishing their school by the end of this year.
